OpenSDS is an open source project under Linux Foundation. It aims at addressing storage integration challenges in cloud native environments. Its vision is to connect siloed data solutions to build a self governed and intelligent data platform. In this session Xing will highlight the new features added in the Capri release. These include an object lifecycle policy engine that automatically migrates data from one cloud to another or across different storage tiers within the same cloud, an orchestration engine that automates migration across homogeneous and heterogeneous storage systems, the ability to provide file share support for Kubernetes, OpenStack, and other northbound ecosystems, and a common storage metrics model to collect data from heterogeneous storage systems, train the data to find the best model, and run model to detect anomalous data points.
