The main objective of this presentation is to share Colt’s evolution from traditional MPLS towards innovative Cloud Networking technologies to offer managed networking services to customers. We will cover first the introduction of SD WAN as a stand-alone alternative (and complement) to MPLS to deliver VPN services based on a new software controlled paradigm, opening the door to on demand models. Secondly, we will explain how SD WAN is extended and partially replaced by a true cloud networking platform thanks to a fully distributed NFV architecture, currently under evaluation and deployment in Colt.
