The industry has made a lot of progress on having a structure for moving data plane applications onto a COTS environment – but we still have much more improvements. This talk will review a data plane framework in the open ecosystem, types of VNFs working, areas to focus on and current challenges and Huawei’s solution using dual model, multi-protocol and multi-instance (DMM) to empower open transport layer protocol in the cloud networking.
