An open source program manager walks through contribution and consumption of open source projects in an entertaining list:1) the community side: why they want contributions, how they want to be consumed; 2) the corporate side: how to consume projects, how they want to contribute; 3) who contributes and why; 4) a real life example of contribution with a side of open source licensing and how that effects contributions; 5) what happens when these two goals are not aligned; 6) how projects change; 7) inviting diverse contribution as part of contributor growth; and 8) where the state of project contribution can go from here. This may include more memes and gifs as time allows.Audience members will get a wider understanding of how and why corporations contribute to open source projects, how communities can improve their contributor growth and new pathways to increase contribution.
