This talk is a summary of developments in the last year of quantum related impacts on technology. This covers the emergent problems (and corresponding creative approaches) due to the issues of quantum effects limiting the further miniaturization of chips and limiting the evolution of new wafer technologies, quantum security concerns, new uses of quantum effect to secure communication and and assessment of the state of affairs in what is currently referred to as ¨quantum computation¨ in the popular literature with a particular focus on emergent new ideas and approaches that have developed in 2019 since the last FinTech forum.
