As enterprise blockchain moves deeper into the finance market, most organizations are looking at where, when and how to deploy the technology. In evaluating the role of blockchain, it’s important to keep in mind it’s not a singular solution. There’s not just one blockchain or one way to build a network. While the goal is to establish a common system of record to exchange assets and information, there’s a range of options for balancing transparency and privacy. Many organizations will want to use them all, at different times and with different entities.Brian Behlendorf will offer his take on the technology landscape and on permissioned, public and hybrid blockchains. He and Grace Hartley, an architect of the enterprise Ethereum client Hyperledger Besu, will also discuss how to leverage different blockchain technologies to support an increasingly diverse set of financial use cases.
