This is the story behind the integration of the DAML runtime engine, created and open sourced by Digital Asset, with Hyperledger Sawtooth. Delivered by Digital Asset and Blockchain Technology Partners, this integration brings the power of the DAML smart contract language to the Hyperledger community. We will share the lessons learned and provide an update on our plan to open source this integration and contribute it to the Hyperledger community. We will close by looking at how we’ve extended BTP’s blockchain management platform, Sextant, so that this now takes care of deploying and managing DAML applications as well as the underlying Sawtooth infrastructure including the DAML runtime.
