Cadence is an open source workflow platform for building reliable and highly scalable distributed applications. It is applicable to very large set of use cases from infrastructure and ML/Data automation to business level transactions and microservice orchestration. Cadence is drastically different from existing workflow and orchestration solutions in that it is not built around a JSON/YAML/XML based language, but supports writing business logic directly in a preferred programming language.Cadence is used by over 100 teams at Uber and by multiple companies outside. The notable mentions are HashiCorp, BanzaiCloud, LinkedIn, Box.com and Grab.Maxim Fateev is a tech lead of the Cadence and is going to present overview of the Cadence programming model as well as live coding demo.
