WebOS is a web-centric and usability-focused software platform for smart devices. The operating system has constantly evolved along its journey from Palm to HP to, most recently, LG Electronics. Now, LG is releasing webOS as an open source project, named webOS Open Source Edition (OSE). Joseph Park, Steve Lemke, and Lokesh Kumar Goel offer an overview of webOS Open Source Edition, covering its history and architecture and detailing the project’s evolution from GitHub to Raspberry Pi. They also explain how to use webOS OSE to create and use apps and services with Enact and Luna. Join in to see how you can get started contributing to the project. This session is sponsored by LG Electronics.
