In the open source developer community, code is king. But who is the kingmaker?Most people are used to operating in hierarchical, “command and control” environments, and often expect the same rules and behaviors to work when they join open source communities. But with so many different people and organizations all theoretically working as peers, how do leaders emerge, and what does it take to become influential?
